Research ethics and data protection

8.1. General Provisions

The Bulletin adheres to the requirements of the Procedure for Compiling the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 56 of 19 January 2026) regarding mandatory monitoring of compliance with ethical standards in research.

8.2. Research Involving Humans and Animals

For articles describing the results of research involving humans, animals or their biological materials, authors must obtain a mandatory opinion (approval) from the ethics (bioethics) committee of the institution where the research was conducted. The text of the manuscript (the ‘Methodology’ section) must specify the name of the ethics committee and the protocol number.

8.3. Handling of confidential information and data

Research involving the handling of personal data must comply with the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Protection of Personal Data’. Authors are obliged to ensure the anonymity of participants and to obtain permission to disclose confidential information regarding organisations that were the subject of the research.

8.4. Declaration of compliance

Upon submission of the manuscript, authors confirm that the study does not violate ethical standards or the legislation of Ukraine. The absence of a valid ethical approval is grounds for rejection of the article.
